A number of cases are currently pending before the European Court of Human Rights. The cases set out below are those which the Strasbourg Court has to date communicated to the respondent Government, that is to say applications which have passed the admissibility stage and are under examination on the merits:
Application no. 55605/19, communicated on 2 April 2020. Alleged ill-treatment sustained by the applicant during her administrative arrest and her detention by the police (Article 3, substantive limb).
Communicated caseApplication no. 30190/18, communicated on 10 September 2018. Alien deprived of his liberty – alleged arbitrary detention on account of the unsuitability of the applicant’s conditions of detention in the light of his mental health, the absence of any link between his detention and his removal, and the bad faith of the Aliens Office (Office des étrangers) in giving effect to the detention (Article 5 § 1 (f)).
